Vocals through an amp simulator in GarageBand iOS? (iPhone/iPad)
In this video, I show a trick that we used a lot before we had such good plugins and effects in GarageBand iPhone and GarageBand iPad, but it still holds up today as something very cool to try.

In this video, I answer the most common questions about how payments work in DistroKid, including how long it takes to get paid, how to report on your earnings, and how to withdraw your cash.
Here’s a quick overview of the key points:
1. DistroKid passes on 100% of the royalties you earn from your music, though some stores will keep a percentage of the sale price
2. PayPal is the easiest way to withdraw your money from DistroKid, and there is a 2% fee for all withdrawals, which take 1-14 days
3. It takes around 3 months for the earnings to be sent from the stores to DistroKid and appear in your “bank”

How to automate effects in GarageBand iOS (iPhone/iPad)
GarageBand iPhone and GarageBand iPad only allow you to use automation on the volume of a track, so to automate effects, we need to use a second track with the audio duplicated to automate reverb, delay and other effects.
In this video, I show how to automate a delay on a vocal track in GarageBand iOS.

Reverse reverb vocal effect in GarageBand iOS (iPhone/iPad)
How to create a cool reverse reverb vocal effect using stock plugins in GarageBand iPhone or GarageBand iPad.
In this video, I show you one of my all time favourite tips for creating a cool effect in GarageBand. The process is actually super simple, as all you need to do is:
1. Copy and paste part of a vocal (usually one word) to a duplicate track
2. Add a heap of reverb to the new track
3. Merge the track to “bake in” the reverb
4. Reverse the audio
This technique can be used in all sorts of music, but works especially well in rock and heavier songs.

Share to iTunes in iOS (iPhone/iPad) – Where does it go?
Have you ever tried to share to “iTunes” on your iPhone or iPad and then not been able to work out where the file was sent? Well in this video, I answer this question once and for all!
Sending a file to “iTunes” actually sends it to iTunes File Sharing, which is a location on your iPhone or iPad which is available only when you sync your iOS device with a Mac or PC using iTunes.

How to create 808 beats in GarageBand iOS (iPhone/iPad)
The classic Roland TR-808 drum machine. It is one of the most iconic sounds in hip hop, electronic and even pop music. But did you know that we have three versions of the 808 kit right here in GarageBand iPhone and GarageBand iPad?
In this video, I show you how to build a beat using the 808 kits right on your iPhone or iPad using both the beat sequencer and the electronic drum kit.

How to export from GarageBand to Soundcloud (iPhone/iPad)
In this video, I show how to create a brand new Soundcloud account, and then upload a song to Soundcloud directly from GarageBand.
Soundcloud is an online music streaming and download platform which allows you to share up to 180 minutes (that’s 3 hours!) of music for free. You can upload from your Mac, PC or mobile device and then share a link to your music via email, message or any social media platform.
In this video, I discuss what features are, and are not, supported in GarageBand iOS on the iPhone and iPad.
MIDI keyboards have a heap of different features these days, so it is important to understand which will be compatible with GarageBand iPhone and GarageBand iPad before you make a purchase.
The key MIDI keyboard features which are supported in GarageBand iOS are:
1. Pitch (MIDI note)
2. Velocity (how hard the note is hit)
3. Pitch bend wheel (for bending pitch in some instruments)
4. Modulation wheel (for modulation effects in some instruments)
5. Sustain (when using a sustain pedal)
Features which are not supported (or 100% supported) in GarageBand iOS are:
1. Sliders (volume and other adjustments)
2. Knobs (for adjusting synths and other sounds)
3. Drum pads (will work, but not assignable or programmable)
4. Other custom buttons (as GarageBand does not allow any programming of functions)
