Sensual Sax – saxophone app/plugin for iOS (iPhone/iPad)

How to use the Sensual Sax audio unit extension plugin on iPhone and iPad.

In this video, I take an in-depth look at my favourite new plugin, the Sensual Sax by Embertone.

As well as a very cool name, this virtual instrument AUv3 plugin really packs a punch and delivers the most authentic saxophone sound I have ever heard from a sampled instrument.

In this video I show you all the settings and controls, as well as record an improvised sax part for a song in GarageBand.

How to use Audio Unit Instruments in GarageBand iOS (iPad/iPhone)

Audio unit extension (AUv3) in GarageBand are great for not only plugins and effects, but also for adding virtual instruments to your GarageBand projects.

Audio unit extensions have become the preferred method for adding a third party app in to your GarageBand iOS project. Apple have even announced that the previous framework, Inter-app audio, will be deprecated, meaning it will not be supported in the future.

In this video, I show you how to add AUv3 (Audio Unit) extensions as tracks in your projects so you can use additional custom instruments on your projects. I also show the difference between Inter-app audio and Audio Units, and why AUv3 apps are much more versatile on your projects.
