How to transfer files from iPhone to PC – USB Drives for iOS?

Are you looking to transfer, copy or backup your files from your iPhone or iPad to your PC or Mac?

Unfortunately it is not as easy as it should be, but there are some options, which I will cover in this video.

1. USB flash drives which also include a lightning connector are a good option as they allow you to transfer files to and from your iPhone and iPad, and my recommendation is the SanDisk iXpand

2. Wireless drives allow you to connect via WiFi to transfer files and are another useful option when you need to transfer a lot of data

3. AudioShare’s “WiFi Drive” function turns your iPhone or iPad in to a wireless server, allowing you to transfer files from any other device connected to your WiFi network

A quick update in this video. Recently I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Lij Shaw for the amazing Recording Studio Rockstars podcast.

In the interview, I talk about all things mobile recording, including using a mobile studio setup, recording in GarageBand and how to get started on an iPhone or iPad. It is an audio only interview and over 2 hours long, so grab some popcorn and your beverage of choice and settle in!
