How to create a vocal double in GarageBand iOS (iPhone/iPad)

How to create vocal doubles in GarageBand iOS.

If your vocals are sounding thing and not punching through your mix, then vocal doubling is a technique you should consider.

Doubling is the process of recording a “double” of a lead vocal, singing as close to the original version as possible, and then blending then second track in to the mix with your lead vocal. This effect “thickens” the sounds and can help create additional texture to make your vocal mix pop.

Doubling is also known as “double tracking”, and some producers will even use a triple or more vocals to really fatten up the vocal mix.

Do you have any tips or tricks for getting a good vocal double sound in your mixes? Let me know!
